Data destruction in Kingston upon Thames

Secure data destruction in Kingston upon Thames

Kingston is one of the biggest shopping destinations in the south-east, and retail brings card terminals, loyalty schemes and staff rotas for a large seasonal workforce. The town also has a university, a hospital, a busy office quarter by the river and, in Chessington and Tolworth, trading estates and a major leisure attraction.

Retail systems are replaced on tight timetables, usually overnight or between seasons. We can erase point-of-sale PCs, back-office computers and servers quickly, and the same-day service we offer for most jobs helps when a refit date is fixed. Every device is wiped with government approved software and documented in an erasure report.

How we destroy data

We agree the method with you before any work starts, based on the level of destruction you need and whether it has to be certified for compliance.

• Overwriting: old information is overwritten with new data, and the equipment can be reused or sold on.
• Degaussing: the magnetic field is eliminated and the storage device is destroyed at the same time.
• Physical destruction: disk shredding or crushing, which you can witness.

When the work is complete we issue a certificate of data destruction. Most jobs can be completed the same day, and there is no minimum order. We are registered with the Information Commissioner’s Office, data protection registration ZA060744.
