Hard drive disposal and recycling in Tower Hamlets
On-site hard drive shredding and destruction for Canary Wharf, Aldgate, Whitechapel and the wider borough.
Safe disposal of hard drives and SSDs in Tower Hamlets
Financial institutions frequently specify that failed or retired drives must be destroyed before they leave the floor. In a tower at Canary Wharf that means bringing the destruction to the drives, under the eyes of the bank's own security staff.
We do that. Drives are crushed or shredded on-site and can be degaussed first where policy calls for two methods. For businesses without that requirement, our Bermondsey facility is directly across the river, so collected drives have a very short journey. All work is confirmed by a certificate of data destruction.

Disposal methods
We can dispose of all standard magnetic hard drives and SSDs. The method is discussed before the job, and two can be used together for a greater level of security.
- Hard drive crushing: the drive is physically crushed so it cannot be read.
- Hard drive shredding: the drive is cut into fragments, then recycled.
- Hard drive degaussing: for magnetic drives, removing the magnetic field that holds the data.
- Data deletion and erasure: for drives that are to be reused or sold.
When the work is complete we issue a certificate of data destruction. Most jobs can be completed the same day, and there is no minimum order. We are registered with the Information Commissioner’s Office, data protection registration ZA060744.
