Safe disposal of hard drives and SSDs in Islington
Studios in converted Clerkenwell warehouses are short of space, and a shelf of old project drives is an obvious thing to clear. Before those drives go anywhere, remember that an archive of past projects is also an archive of client confidential information.
We will destroy them properly. Have the drives collected, or book an on-site visit and watch them go through the crusher or shredder. SSDs and magnetic hard drives are both accepted and there is no minimum quantity. The certificate of data destruction we issue can be passed to any client who asks how their files were disposed of.

Disposal methods
We can dispose of all standard magnetic hard drives and SSDs. The method is discussed before the job, and two can be used together for a greater level of security.
- Hard drive crushing: the drive is physically crushed so it cannot be read.
- Hard drive shredding: the drive is cut into fragments, then recycled.
- Hard drive degaussing: for magnetic drives, removing the magnetic field that holds the data.
- Data deletion and erasure: for drives that are to be reused or sold.
When the work is complete we issue a certificate of data destruction. Most jobs can be completed the same day, and there is no minimum order. We are registered with the Information Commissioner’s Office, data protection registration ZA060744.
